Easy trek of Pu Luong 3 day to see its highlights

Puong Luong easy trekking tour 

DAY 1: From Hanoi to Pu Luong via Nam Son

Trekking Time: 5hours

Exertion level: easy

You will be collected at 7 am from your hotel in Hanoi for the journey to Mai Chau. The trip affords you stunning views along the way. Once we reach the village of Nam Son we can begin our hike into the Pu Luong Nature Reserve.

As we go we will learn more about the local people, and we will pass many going about their daily lives. As we head downhill to the village of Hin you will probably be getting hungry, so we will stop for lunch and rest from the heat of the day in the cool shade of the towering trees.  We will finally arrive in the village of Hin in the early evening, where you will be welcomed at your homestay by a local family and served dinner before heading to bed.

DAY 2: Hike to Nua and Kho Muong

Trekking Time: 5hours

Exertion level: easy

Included:  guide, all meals, accommodation and permits

Enjoy breakfast with your hosts and get ready for a long day of trekking. Heading out of Hin we head for Nua, about 4 kilometers away. Once you reach the village you can relax by a stream to cool off and regain some energy.

We then head onward deeper into the reserve, passing locals working on their farms against a backdrop of stunning limestone cliffs. We weave though forests deep into the reserve before stopping for lunch at the settlement of Pon, then take some time to explore one of the stunning local caves.

Our hike continues uphill and through streams and valleys on the way to the stunning village of Kho Muong. Take the time to walk around this beautiful village, chatting to locals about their culture and day to day lives or perhaps visiting one of the eco lodges. Tonight you will stay once more in a local home and enjoy your host’s hospitality.

DAY 3: Kho Muong to Mai Chau and return to Hanoi

Trekking Time: 5hours

Exertion level: moderate

Included: transfers, guides and all meals as indicated

When you rise this morning why not spend some more time with your host family, or take another walk around the settlement taking some early morning photographs before breakfast.

We hit the road early and will trek for about 5 hours today. We start off at a leisurely pace and reach Eo Ken village without much effort. Here, take a break before we hit some more challenging terrain uphill and across a stream.

You will marvel at the wonderful views of the area, farms and jungle. We pass several small settlements and then begin to walk towards the highway where our return transfer to Hanoi is awaiting us. On the way back to Hanoi we will stop in Mai Chau for lunch and a bit of time to explore before heading on to Hanoi where the Pu Luong easy trek tour ends.
