Hanoi countryside bike tour’s itinerary

Your tour guide will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel from 7.30am, ready to take you to collect your bike. Following a quick lesson on cycling safely in the area you will embark on your Rural Bike Tour from Hanoi.

Our route takes us over the famous Long Bien Bridge, from which stunning views of the Red River can be photographed. We leave the hustle and bustle of Hanoi city behind and enjoy a relaxing journey through the lush rural fields interspersed with traditional settlements as we make our way to the Bat Trang Pottery Village.

Here you will leave your bike for a time and stretch your legs with a stroll through this village to get a glimpse into rural life and the art of the pottery makers. Your guide will lead you to the home of one such potters where you can see the craft come to life before your eyes.

The village thoroughly explored we once again mount our bikes and head along the trail of the river, all the while taking in the sights and sounds of rural Vietnam. You will come face to face with local farmers and women going about their daily business before taking a brief journey on a boat along the river to the Thanh Tri Village.

Here you are in for a real treat – the chance to try your hand at making the traditional rice pancake known as Bánh Cuon for which the area is known. The lesson takes place in the home of residents of the village, and they will also serve you a delicious lunch made from superb local ingredients.

Well rested, we begin the journey back to the capital. On the way we will have more opportunity for photographing some more sights including market stalls and traditional style homes. On reaching the city centre you will dismount and have the opportunity to discuss the highlights of this tour with your guide over a beer.

After that, our guide will help you take a taxi or walk to the hotel. End of services!
