Bai Tu Long Bay 3 days 2 nights Cruise – A great adventure

Day 1 : Hanoi – Bai Tu Long bay – Thien Canh Son cave (Lunch, Dinner) 

You will be collected from your hotel in Hanoi and escorted by private transfer to the city of Ha Long. Along the way we will have a rest break in the province of Hai Duong. We will arrive just before lunch at Hon Gai Pier, and will check into your cabin on our vessel.

Once on board you will be treated to a refreshing drink and attend a safety talk by our cruise representative. A delicious lunch is then prepared for you in the boats restaurant, from which you can enjoy stunning views over the limestone cliffs of Halong Bay.

By mid afternoon we are ready for our first excursion which is a tour of the beautiful and interesting Thien Canh Son Cave. This little grotto interesting stalactite and stalagmite formations and makes for fantastic photo opportunities.

We return to the boat for some refreshments, then you are at your leisure to undertake some of the great watersports on offer on the cruise. Swim or kayak during the rest of the afternoon before getting ready for our evening entertainment in your cabin.

This evening you will undertake a cooking class where you will learn to whip up some local specialties as the vessel makes its way over to the harbor at Cong Do. Here, we will drop anchor and head to the bar for Happy Hour.

Dinner is then served in the ship’s restaurant, where you can enjoy each other’s company. By 9pm you will be relaxed and well-fed, and you will have the rest of the evening either to relax in your cabin, play games or learn how to do squid fishing. There is also information available in the form of videos whereby you can learn a bit more about the culture and customs of Halong Bay and surrounding area. As night draws in, head back to your cabin for some well-deserved rest.

Day 2 : Vung Ha – Vong Vieng (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) 

Start your day off like the locals with a spot of tai chi on the deck, before enjoying a leisurely breakfast in the restaurant. We will already have set sail for our next destination and you will be able to enjoy the splendid views on the way to Vung Ha, where we arrive at around 9am.

In Vung Ha you will have the opportunity to explore the natural park via canoe. As you whizz through the water, take in the stunning views of Bai Tu Long Bay and its beautiful scenery. We spend the morning at a private beach enjoying the water and soaking up the rays before heading back to the boat for lunch whilst moored in an area of stunning views.

After lunch we visit the old Vung Vieng village – this traditional stilt village is absolutely charming, and you will also have the chance to travel on one of the bamboo boats. The afternoon is to be spent at your leisure, with those wishing to fish with locals able to do so. Others may prefer to wander around, taking photos and enjoying the laid back vibe. At an additional cost, those who wish to take a small boat tour around the area can do so for about $100.

By 4pm we should be heading back to the vessel which will then set sail for Cong Do where we will dock anchor for the evening. Tonight’s entertainment includes a flower arrangement class, and again we hope you enjoy happy hour and a delicious dinner.

The evening is spent on board at your leisure, watching movies or fishing or simply relaxing in the bar. Then, head back to your cabin for your last night.

Day 3 : Be Ong – Hon Gai – Hanoi (Breakfast, Brunch) 

Begin your day as yesterday with some relaxing tai chi before enjoying the wonderful views of the sun rising over the bay as you have breakfast. Spend the early hours of the morning canoeing or swimming in the waters of Be Ong Dau, or remain on the boat to relax and enjoy the splendid scenery.

By mid-morning you will have checked out of your cabin and be enjoying a leisurely brunch in the restaurant as the vessel makes its way back to Hon Gai where you will disembark and begin the journey back to Hanoi. Stopping on the way for a break to stretch your legs, we will arrive late afternoon back to Hanoi where your fantastic trip ends.
