The tour begins as soon as you are picked up from your place of accommodation and together, we will drive through the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh city’s streets. Your guides will provide information on the history of Vietnam, setting the scene for the lead up to the creation of the tunnels. The tour will briefly stop at a local rubber plantation, before heading out of the city.

The Ben Dinh tunnels are situated in thick forest, with beautiful trees and bamboo all around. Upon arrival, the tour will go through the subway entrance and enter into the once secret base of the Viet Cong.  Whilst being shown around by your guide, all the ingenious methods employed in building the tunnels and their vital ventilation systems will be pointed out and explained. The ever amazing and captivating booby traps scattered all around the base will be on shown displaying the resourcefulness of the Viet Cong.

The Tour then turns subterranean, allowing for the visitors to get a more hands on experience of the tunnels. The tunnels were originally made to just about accommodate for the short, thin stature of the average Vietnamese fighter, however the tunnels had to be slightly widened to accommodate for tourists, but the original snug feel of the tunnels have not be lost.

At the end of the Cu Chi tunnel experience, you will be taken to the kitchens of the Viet Cong, hidden deep inside the tunnels, yet essential for feeding the troops. The owner of this house is an expert in the craft of rice paper making, and will set up a hands on workshop, where the visitors can see and make their own rice paper.
