La Chu village area bike tour : Half day from Hue

Explore rural Hue in La Chu village on a half day biking trip

This morning we will meet you at your accommodation in the nearby city of Hue and make the journey to An Hien Garden house, which is a lovely relaxing place surrounded by tranquil gardens in which you can spend a short time enjoying the scenery at this traditional old wooden house and lovely displays of fruit trees.

Here we offer our guests an optional extra – take a lovely boat journey along the Perfume River. If you go for this option you will head off from the Toa Kham pier and down the river towards the An Hien Garden House.

By mid-morning we are ready to start our first activity, which is a bike ride to the village of La Chu. You will head through rolling farmland, rice fields and vegetable plantations. On the way you will be free to stop and take photographs of people going about their daily lives on their farms and on the roads. You will also have the opportunity to pop into a locals’ house and watch them cooking a delicious rice pancake.

Then we head on, stopping again before lunch at a vegetable plantation where you will have the chance to really observe local farmers in their natural habitat. Whilst these farmers work hard, long hours you will also be delighted to see how they are connected to the landscape at a very deep level. For lunch you will get to take a cookery class with a local chef who will show you how to whip up a delicacy before you sit back and enjoy it. Then a real treat – enjoy a relaxing traditional foot massage!

After lunch you will be able to take in a calligraphy art display that will stun you with its splendor, before you make the journey back to your hotel where the tour ends.
