Itinerary of Mekong delta homestay tour 2 days 

DAY 1: CÁI THIA – AN BÌNH ISLAND – HOMESTAY

We have one final tour itinerary in the Mekong Delta, focusing on what life is like to live in a small Vietnamese village.

8:00 : Our driver and private tour guide will pick you up from Ho Chi Minh city at your hotel lobby and take a short drive to Cai Be District of Cái Thia village in Tien Giang province, where the tour starts. Come to Mrs. Năm’s family and see how she makes rice paper for more than 60 years.

Next, we bike along the small and scenic lanes to Hoa Loc, we will see its famous mango groves, the landscape dotted with minimalist traditional homes made of wood and palm leaves.  We will visit a local home where we will bake some local cakes and sample them with hot tea. After biking, we’ll come back Cai Thia village.

After we check in to Ut Trinh homestay, relax and make friend with a local family. Enjoy some cold drinks, or learn to cook local dishes with the owners. At dinner, splash out and try some rice wine. When you’re ready for bed, retire to your private room.

DAY 2: HOMESTAY – VĨNH LONG

Have a breakfast and walk through the village to enjoy the fresh air in the morning. During the boat trip to visit the brick kilns you can see how local people create beautiful pottery from clay. Our boat will navigate through the floating village and then will learn how people farm catfish on Mekong River.  We disembark to visit the local market in town. This is the best location for you to take pictures of fish, shrimp, prawns, crab, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits and vegetables.  The cruise will end at Vinh Long City. Transfer 2.5 hours back to Ho Chi Minh city. End of services!
