Hue countryside day tour with Thanh Toan, Sinh, Tien Noi village

Start your adventure early in the morning with a drive through the beautiful countryside around Hue. We’ll need to leave early in the morning in order to get a true picture of the hustle and bustle of early morning village life.

As we reach the city limits we take the chance to visit the Thanh Toan Bridge made over two centuries ago and a fine example of one of Vietnams last remaining covered bridges. Then we continue on through the fields toward Thanh Tien. This lovely village is known throughout the region for its beautiful paper flower crafts such as chrysanthemums and orchids, as well as the lotus flower. You can spend some time watching the local people making these lovely paper flowers and hear a bit about how they play an important part in local culture.

Then we visit the picturesque village of Sinh, which is found near the banks of the Perfume River. Stop off at a local printing workshop where carpenters are making prints from wood in the same manner as has been done for generations. These prints play an important part ini the annual celebrations for the worship of ancestors.

Next take a journey to the village of Tien Non, which is a lovely place where locals grow lots of different varieties of flowers and vegetables. Here, take your turn at tending the crops and flowers and chat with the local farmers as you work. Finally we will make our way back to Hue by boat along the beautiful Perfume River. As you pass through the area take a look at the scenery around you before you dock in Hue where the tour ends.
