This easily accessible Tu Lan cave day tour will enable you to take in the network of the most beautiful cave system in Hong Nha. Phong Nha - Tan Hoa - Tu Lan Cave
In preparation for the tour you will have spent the night at a local bed and breakfast in Phong Nha, and it is from here that you will be greeted by your driver at a pre-arranged time early in the morning.
Your journey begins by private car which will take you the 70 kilometer drive through the beautiful Da Deo region on the way to the traditional tribal settlement of Tan Hoa. Here you will be offered some safe storage for your bags so we can get straight into the tour.
Our tour guide will give you a safety talk and make sure all the correct paperwork and equipment is in place before we start our day with a 2 kilometer walk through farmland on the way down to the Rao Nan River, which we will need to ford to cross. It is here that we come across the Rat Cave, known locally as Hang Chuot.
Here you cannot fail to be impressed by the huge rock formations that stretch up to nearly three hundred meters. Once we have explored the Rat Cave we head on back via the Hung Ton Valley to Hung Ton Cave. Spend some time exploring deep into the cave and then take a swim through the caves waters. We emerge in the To Mo Valley where we will enjoy lunch together.
Once we have eaten you will have the chance to relax and take a dip near the waterfall and then take a hike over the Hung Ton Mountains downward to the Rao Nan Riverbed. We amble back through farmland once more to our office where a lovely refreshing drink will be waiting for you – and a shower if you wish!
You leave Tan Hoa at 5pm for the return journey to Phong Nha where you will arrive in the early evening at your hotel to complete this Tu Lan cave day tour
