Your driver and local guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi and brief you on the way to Cuc Phuong National Park in NinhBinh. You will arrive around 10 a.m. to the Primate Rescue Center where you will get to visit a sanctuary housing many endangered primate species listed in the Red Data Book.
Next, it is time to start trekking towards Khanh Village. Along the way you will explore the pristine jungle upon well marked paths while being educated on the local culture and ecosystem by your knowledgeable guide.
A picnic lunch along the way will allow for a chance to soak up the beauty of these serene forests.
The trek will continue on into the late afternoon where you will arrive at the Khanh Village in time for dinner at a homestay with welcoming local host.
Duration : 6 hours trek
A homemade breakfast accompanied by regional coffee of tea will be prepared by your homestay host before you head off on a short trek that leads to a bamboo raft tour down the gentle Buoi River. The guided tour will then follow a path through villages of Muong people who happily wave from their terraced rice fields. A locally farmed lunch will be ready for you in the Thuong Village.
The walk towards Mon Village is spotted with limestone pillars and monkeys swinging from tree to tree. Arrival into the Mon Village will be followed by a lovingly prepared dinner at your homestay.
12 kilometers or 5.5 hours trekking, 3.5 kilometer bamboo rafting or 1.5 hours
An early morning breakfast with mountain views will start off your day. The day’s trek will follow a stream and pass through primal jungle while glimpsing on small villages that have not changed in generations.
Relax at a picturesque outlook or beside a refreshing waterfall for a picnic lunch and try to spot some of the more rare creatures the guide tells you about.
The final leg of the trek for the day will end in Sat Thuong Village where the villagers will cheerfully greet you and invite you into their home for dinner and your night’s homestay.
The last day will begin with a hearty breakfast prepared by your host. The hike will lead to the dramatic view by the Mu Waterfall and end with lunch in the center of Ngoc Son – Ngo Luong Nature Reserve.
You will be picked up there by your driver and your guide will debrief you on the drive back to your hotel in Hanoi. Your Cuc Phuong and Ngoc Son nature reserve trekking 4 days tour concludes
